Blog: The amazing world of Social Media

It seems like only yesterday, email and social media were a pipe dream but it’s incredible how over recent years, it has revolutionised the way in which we communicate and do business.

Like thousands of companies we’ve worked hard to build relationships with our customers and secure repeat business, mainly relying on word of mouth and reputation which is no bad thing. But in an ever changing world of digital media, it’s important for us to access the likes of social media to spread the ‘Lovell Stone word’ and engage with new people every day.

Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin allows us to share knowledge, information and success straight away to people who have an active interest in us and our industry. We can learn from those we follow and be part of a wider community that is driven to share its achievements, concerns and ideas.

Twitter has been really useful for us. It helps to encourage people to visit our website and see the breadth of stone available, to give us a call or download information. We can share information real time and raise the profile of who we are and what we do. Linkedin also continues to have an important part to play – providing a specific business platform to share information to people who have chosen to link with us and have an active interest in all things stone!

So as the world of social media continues to get bigger and better our iconic British stone will always sit at the very heart of everything we do but there is no doubt that digital media has an increasing part to play in our success, making sure we speak to the right people, in the right way, at the right time.

If you are digitally savvy, join us on Twitter @lovell_stone, Facebook and Linkedin.
